One charged, others injured in Brampton 3-vehicle crash involving stolen vehicle: police

One suspect is in police custody, and others are wanted following a three-vehicle crash in Brampton that involved a stolen vehicle.

The collision happened just before 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Queen Street and Highway 50 approaching Vaughan.

Authorities confirmed with 680 NewsRadio that one of the cars was stolen, resulting in a multi-vehicle collision.

Police said three people were inside the alleged stolen vehicle; one suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and two fled the scene.

A spokesperson tells CityNews that the male adult arrested was the driver of the stolen vehicle. He was initially taken to hospital for assessment and is now in police custody. Two suspects remain wanted. A description was not provided.

Paramedics assessed another individual with non-life-threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours for the investigation but has since reopened.
