Toronto police were called to Bridley Drive and Brimwood Boulevard just before 10 a.m. to reports that a female pedestrian had been struck.

The girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 44-year-old female driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. Officers say the driver was making a left turn when the girl was struck. She was walking within a crosswalk at the time of the incident.
