Roads reopen after LRT fire in North York

Toronto police have reopened Finch Avenue West between Driftwood Avenue and Sentinel Road in North York after it was closed for several hours due to a Light Rail Transit (LRT) vehicle fire on Monday afternoon.

Toronto Fire responded to reports of flames and smoke coming from the roof of the vehicle just before 1 p.m.

Upon arrival they noticed power lines had fallen on top of the LRT.

Power was disconnected and no injuries were reported.

At around 4 p.m. police said that the roads were reopened.
