Jackie Evancho, the little girl with the big voice from “America’s Got Talent”, was the star attraction at a party hosted by Citytv in Yonge-Dundas Square Tuesday.
Evancho, 11, hit the stage at 12:30 p.m. and was joined by the stars of other Citytv shows, including Yannick Bisson and Hélène Joy from “Murdoch Mysteries”, contestants from “Bachelor Pad” and BT’s Frank Ferragine and Jennifer Valentyne.
BT’s Kevin Frankish and CityLine’s Tracy Moore hosted the party to celebrate Citytv’s summer lineup, which includes “America’s Got Talent,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” “The Bachelorette,” “Bachelor Pad,” and “Murdoch Mysteries.”
There are also several activities throughout the square, free food, prizes and …a princess bouncy castle, like the one on “Modern Family”.
On Monday, Citytv unveiled an impressive fall lineup of shows including the Steven Spielberg-produced drama “Terra Nova”; sitcom “2 Broke Girls” – created by Sex and the City writer/director Michael Patrick King and comedienne Whitney Cummings, and “New Girl” featuring indie-film darling Zooey Deschanel.
Evancho stopped by Breakfast Television Tuesday morning to perform one song off her new album “Dream With Me” — her rendition of Sarah McLachlan’s “Angel”.
