New video released of Newmarket sex assault suspect

York regional police have released a new video of a man they believe is responsible for at least five sexual assaults in Newmarket.
All of the assaults took place near the Upper Canada Mall. The most recent incident occurred on Dec. 22 at approximately 7 p.m. A 59-year-old woman was walking to her car in the south lot of the mall. The man apparently followed the woman to her car and hit her on the buttocks before running south towards Davis Drive.

There were previous assaults on Aug. 18, two assaults on Sept. 8, and one on Sept. 25.
The man is described as white, approximately 18-to-25 years old, five-foot-five to five-foot-seven tall, and 125 to 130 pounds. In the most recent incident, he was wearing a blue jacket, camouflage pants, a black leather baseball hat and running shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
