Toronto police have arrested two 17-year-old boys and charged them with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of a teen in Etobicoke last February.
The suspects, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, were arrested on Wednesday with the assistance of Peel Regional Police.
No other suspects are being sought in the case, and the accused teens are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
The arrests come just days after police released security video showing grainy footage leading up to the fatal stabbing of Saed Keyliye, 17, of Toronto.
Police found Keyliye stabbed to death on Feb. 3 at the rear of 551 The West Mall.
On Monday, Det. Andy Singh said Keyliye was with two friends when they encountered the suspects. An altercation ensued, and Keyliye was stabbed.
His friends were not injured.
