Two teens arrested in stabbing death of 15-year-old boy

By News Staff

Arrests have been made in the stabbing death of 15-year-old Kareem Deerr.

The teen was killed at a bus terminal at the Scarborough Town Centre last Friday.

Police have arrested and charged Desmond Williams, 18, of Toronto with second-degree murder.

A 14-year-old, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is facing a manslaughter charge.

Juliana Murdock, Kareem’s older sister, says the family is happy to hear about the arrests.

“I hope that they put this person behind bars as soon as possible,” she told CityNews. “I hope he sits in jail and thinks about what he did, so he knows what he did is wrong.”

Both teens are scheduled to be in court on Friday.
