Man in life-threatening condition after stabbing in Toronto’s downtown core

A man is in hospital after a stabbing just steps away from Yonge-Dundas Square.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at Yonge and Gould streets around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers found the victim bleeding seriously and paramedics rushed to his aid.

He was then transported to hospital in life-threatening condition.

There has been no word on suspects.

Yonge Street was closed from Gerrard to Gould while police investigated. The area has since reopened.
