PIRAEUS, Greece (AP) _ Danaos Corp. (DAC) on Monday reported second-quarter earnings of $38.5 million.

The Piraeus, Greece-based company said it had net income of $1.55 per share. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs, were $1.71 per share.

The shipping company posted revenue of $116.8 million in the period.

In the final minutes of trading on Monday, the company’s shares hit $3.63. A year ago, they were trading at $7.75.
