Teen killed in Brampton football game laid to rest

A teenage boy killed in a Brampton football game was laid to rest on Tuesday.

Gene Odulio, 17, was playing a home exhibition game at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School on Sept. 7 when he collapsed. He died in hospital on Sept. 9.

Members of his football team helped to carry Odulio’s casket at St. Anthony of Padua’s Roman Catholic Church in Brampton.

Odulio leaves behind two brothers, including his twin Keith.
