GO Transit Worker Charged With Voyeurism

Police have arrested a GO Transit worker who allegedly misused his position to spy on two teenagers undressing.

Two 18-year-olds, a male and female, were sitting in a car in a Richmond Hill GO parking lot at Newkirk and Major Mackenzie Drives on Friday, July 28 around 10pm when a GO Transit enforcement officer approached.

He asked them why they were outside the station and told the pair he had the power to make an arrest, but later said he wouldn’t charge them, authorities say.

Instead, he took their personal information and asked that they agree to let him search their car, police said. He also allegedly requested to search the two teens.

He apparently led them to the ticket office and put them in two separate washrooms. Police say the victims felt like they had no choice but to comply and took off their clothes.

The two teens called police after the disturbing incident and the 45-year-old suspect from Whitby was arrested last Friday.

Fraser Aitken is charged with two counts of voyeurism and two counts of forcible confinement. He’s scheduled to appear in court Sept. 13.
