Crews to begin installing physical distancing circles at Trinity Bellwoods Park

With summer just around the corner, crews will begin painting physical distancing circles at Trinity Bellwoods Park.
The installation work is expected to start at 9 a.m. Thursday.
This morning, City crews will begin painting physical distancing circles at Trinity Bellwoods to ensure that residents can enjoy the park safely.

This is the second year in a row the City of Toronto will be installing the social distancing circles at the park, to encourage physical distancing amid the pandemic.
Back in April, officials acknowledged that many Torontonians living in apartments and condos lack space for exercise and fresh air while the provincial stay-at-home order is in effect.
“Trinity Bellwoods Park is a popular location for many downtown residents and the painted physical distancing circles will help keep people safe while using the park,” officials stated in the release.
“Residents are encouraged to visit their local parks rather than travel to destination parks. If a park or amenity such as a playground is crowded, people should visit another park or return at another time.”
The City says residents should follow the provincial stay-at-home order and only leave their homes for essential reasons.
