Industrial Fire

Fire crews spent several hours Saturday battling a three-alarm blaze that lit up a North York industrial building.

The blaze broke out at 1216 Lawrence Ave. West, just west of Caledonia Rd. around 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

There were reports of exploding compressed gas tanks. Police shut down several surrounding streets as firefighters work to put out the fire.

The fire caused serious traffic congestion in the area.
