Hamilton police seize imitation gun, one suspect arrested

TORONTO, Ont. – Hamilton Police seized an imitation gun after arresting a suspect at gunpoint early Friday morning.

Officers said they were alerted by a man who said he was assaulted with a handgun, and believed the suspect was going to rob a bar.

A suspect was arrested at gunpoint at Ed’s Sports Bar after police said he tried to flee.

Joseph General, 28, of Hamilton, has been charged with several weapons related offences, and officers said they will oppose his release on bail.
