Pedestrian killed in Halton Hills

A 48-year-old Georgetown woman was struck and killed, Friday, while crossing a road in Halton Hills.
Police say the woman was was crossing Mountainview Road and Todd Road when she was struck by an oncoming pickup truck.
The collision happened shortly after 9 a.m.
Police say the woman was without vital signs when she was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The victim’s name has not been released.
The driver of the pickup was not injured in the collision.
