STRATFORD, Ont. – The eBay sale of pop star Justin Bieber’s sneaker has hit a snafu.
The southwestern Ontario school selling the sneaker said earlier today there was a winning bid of 55-hundred dollars (U-S) for the autographed purple Nike.
But now Stratford Northwestern Secondary School teacher Keith Edwards says there may be a problem with the bid.
He says the Edmonton girl who submitted the bid apparently didn’t clear the purchase with her mom.
Edwards says he’s not sure whether the sale will go through or whether they’ll offer the shoe to the next highest bidder, who offered 54-hundred dollars.
The scuffed right shoe, which has gravel in the tread and dirt on the side, comes with a letter of authenticity.
Bieber, who’s in England on tour, donated a pair of size seven-and-a-half Nikes to help his former school raise money for a broadcasting and communications studio.
