Don Shebib’s iconic 1970 film “Goin’ Down the Road,” a buddy film about two guys from Cape Breton who come to the big city of Toronto looking for a better life, was made when there was virtually no film production in Canada and it sparked a fledgling industry that has matured over the decades.
40-years later Don has made the sequel which tells “the rest of the story.”
He talks to 680News showbiz editor Gloria Martin about the inspiration for making the sequel, the sadness of absent friends and his take on why this story has so much impact.
