MADD Canada renews calls for random breath testing

MADD Canada is renewing its calls for random breath testing after seeing the disappointing stats from this season’s festive R.I.D.E. programs.

Officials with the advocacy group say the numbers show the need for random breathalyzers is growing stronger than ever because drivers are not getting the message.

The number of impaired driving charges laid by the OPP more than doubled – from 308 in 2010 to 652 in 2011.
