Attempted child abduction in Vaughan may not have occurred: York police

VAUGHAN – York Regional Police now say that an apparent attempted abduction of a two-year-old boy at a Vaughan park Monday may not have occurred.
Earlier, police said that the boy was at Vaughan Mills Park when a man tried to take him shortly before 10 a.m.
Police are now looking to speak with a man who may have had an interaction with the child in the park.
Police describe the man as white, 25 to 30 years old with a thin build.
He was wearing a white T-shirt and dark shiny track pants.
Police are asking that he contact police.
