Enrico Colantoni to play surgeon in new Global series ‘Remedy’

By The Canadian Press

TORONTO – Former “Flashpoint” star Enrico Colantoni has swapped his handcuffs for hospital scrubs.

Shaw Media says the Gemini Award-winning actor will star as a surgeon in Global TV’s upcoming original medical drama, “Remedy.”

Colantoni will play Dr. Allan Conner, a “slightly eccentric father” who is a passionate acting chief of staff of Broadview Hospital.

The series, from creator and showrunner Greg Spottiswood, is set to begin production in Toronto on Sept. 30.

Colantoni’s other upcoming credits include the “Veronica Mars” movie and two short films he wrote and directed, one of which will debut at September’s Toronto International Film Festival.

In “Remedy,” he’ll be reunited with two “Flashpoint” alums — director Kelly Makin and writer Adam Barken.
