Man on e-scooter critically injured after being bit by vehicle in city’s north end

A man in his 60s has life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his e-scooter in North York.

Emergency crews responded to the scene at Leslie Street and Steeles Avenue East around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Toronto police said a 73-year-old man was driving a Toyota Camry when it collided with the 64-year-old man riding the e-scooter.

The 64-year-old remains in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The area is closed to traffic as police investigate.
