Second arrest in death of man, 67, in Weston neighbourhood

A second person has been arrested in connection with the death of a 67-year-old man in the city’s west end last week.
Police were called to the area of Bellevue Crescent and Weston Road just after 6:30 p.m. on August 9 following reports someone had been found dead inside an apartment. An investigation determined the death of Ahmed Hassan was suspicious.
On Tuesday, 38-year-old Sonya Ahenakew of Toronto was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Police said the suspect and victim were known to each other but did not elaborate on the exact nature of their relationship.
On Wednesday, 29-year-old Kidus Kidane of Toronto was arrested and charged with first-degree murder as well.
