Child struck by a vehicle near Weston neighbourhood, police say

Emergency crews responded to a collision in York on Sunday afternoon after receiving reports that a child was struck by a vehicle.
Authorities say the crash happened near Weston Road and Wright Avenue at approximately 4:00 p.m.
The driver remained at the scene, according to police, and the victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Weston Road was closed briefly between Denison Road and Wright Avenue, and reopened around 5:00 p.m.
No other details were released.
