Male shot in the torso in Mississauga

A male has been rushed to hospital after a shooting in Mississauga.

Peel police told CityNews the victim was shot outside an apartment building on Darcel Avenue, in the Goreway Drive and Derry Road East area, around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The male suffered a gunshot wound to the torso.

There has been no word on the extent of his injuries.

The K9 and tactical units are on scene to help search for suspects.
