Seven Mississauga schools were in hold-and-secure status Friday afternoon after an initial report of an armed male, Peel Regional Police say.
After investigating, police said a “suspicious male” did not enter any of the schools in the Park Royal-Clarkson area and no students or staff were approached.
Hold-and-secure, which was implemented as a precaution at the schools, was lifted shortly after 3 p.m.
There were no injuries.
Officers remain in the area searching for a male in an unrelated matter, police say.
