Westbound 401 Express Reopened After Man Clipped By Truck

A young Ajax man is lucky to be alive after he was hit by a transport truck early Thursday morning.
The 22-year-old’s car had struck a side barrier on the westbound 401 express lanes near Port Union Road just before 5am. When he got out to check the damage, he was clipped by a passing big rig.
He suffered non-life threatening head injuries and a broken arm and was transported to hospital.
The westbound express lanes were shut down at Whites Road for several hours for the investigation, but reopened around 8am.
