Cyclist dies after being hit by vehicle in Scarborough

A cyclist is dead after being hit by a car in Scarborough.

It happened just after 2 p.m. Thursday on Warden Avenue, north of Eglinton Avenue East.

Police said a 63-year-old man was riding his bike across Warden in a signalized crossover when he was struck by a car in the northbound passing lane.

A 49-year-old man was driving the car.

The cyclist died at the scene.
