Heat Complete Comeback, Winning N.B.A. Final

The Miami Heat completed a remarkable comeback, clawing their way from a two game deficit to defeat the Dallas Mavericks in six games to claim their first ever N.B.A. championship.

Dwyane Wade had 36 points and 10 rebounds as the Heat edged the Dallas Mavericks 95-92 Tuesday night.

“It’s one of the best feelings, next to my wife and my son, that I’ve ever had in my life,” Wade said. “I’m going to live it up!”

Wade’s remarkable series helped add a fifth ring to Pat Riley’s finger — third-most among NBA coaches.   Shaquille O’Neal picked up his fourth championship.

“The great Pat Riley told us we were going to win today,” O’Neal said after the final buzzer.

“I didn’t have the best game. But D-Wade’s been doing it all year. He’s the best player ever.”

Dirk Nowitzki had 29 points and 15 rebounds for the Mavs, who couldn’t tame a wildly intense Wade.
