When The Bough Breaks
Heavy rain overnight created major headaches for car owners in the Chaplin Crescent-Avenue Road area Tuesday. They awoke to find the storm had snapped a branch off a tree, flattening the roofs of their cars. Toronto Hydro clean-up crews were on the scene until about 6am clearing away the mess. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
Fiery Crash
Fire crews were called to Vulcan St. in Rexdale at about 2:20am Tuesday after two tractor-trailers collided. The accident, in the Highway 27 and Belfield Rd. area, caused the contents of the trailers to catch fire. Fortunately no one was injured and the blaze was put out quickly.
There’s no word yet on the cause of the fire or how much damage was sustained.
