Toronto police have made one arrest in the weekend robbery of a taxi driver, and now they’re asking for the public’s help in finding the other suspect.
Police contend two men got into a cab at about 3:30am Saturday and asked to be dropped off at 555 Brimorton Dr., near Ellesmere and Markham.
When they arrived there, one suspect allegedly grabbed the driver and held him in a choke-hold while the other punched him and demanded money. The driver reportedly gave them the money before the pair took off on foot.
On Monday, cops arrested 22-year-old Brandon Crilly and charged him with robbery.
They’re looking for a second suspect who’s described as:
- Black, about 20 years old
- Thin build
- Wearing a New York Yankees cap, dark pants, grey hooded sweater, with large chain around his neck
