Canada’s Wonderland Opens For Another Summer

Around these parts, it’s one of a few unofficial kick offs to the summer season, and on Sunday the gates to Canada’s Wonderland swung open for another year.

Whether it’s because of rides like The Italian Job, the pleasure walking the concourse or the satisfaction of gobbling up the myriad snacks and sweets, thousands descended on the park up Highway 400 on a gorgeous afternoon that couldn’t have been a better omen for the months to come. There are no new rides this season, but there are two new shows, two new restaurants and one brand new lower price.

“We’ve actually lowered our front gate prices for the first time in our history,” said spokesperson Dineen Beaven. “An adult ticket will cost you $47.95 at the door, or you can also look into a season’s pass for only $69.95.”

The water park opens in the middle of June and right now Wonderland’s just open on weekends until the end of May. After that, it’s full speed ahead until fall.
