Toronto Police are looking for some bandits on the run with what’s believed to be a wad of cash. They’re the suspects who staged a daring robbery of a Brink’s truck at Islington and Albion Road around 12:45pm, Monday. The brazen bandits were buzzing around the truck as the men inside were making a delivery to a local grocery store.
The daring daylight crime was carried out by two suspects, at least one of whom was armed with a handgun. There have been no arrests and no description of the robbers has been released yet. No one was injured. Despite the preparation that went into the crime, it appears something spooked the robbing hoods. They dashed from the scene leaving behind boxes of coins lying on the ground (top left).
As is customary in these kinds of cases, authorities won’t say how much loot the suspects may have made off with, but some estimates put it at only about $1,000.
