The beauty of the white mansion on Doulton Place is quickly overshadowed by the apparent ugliness of what transpired behind closed doors in Mississauga Monday. Peel Police were called to the million-dollar residence at about 1pm and found the deceased body of a 27-year-old woman inside.
“We do know that the call was placed by a homeowner,” reveals Cst. Samantha Nulle. “Our officers attended the scene and did in fact locate a woman, 27-years-of-age, who had died as a result of foul play. The deceased was an employee of the household. She was the housekeeper.”
The home, in the Mississauga Road and Dundas West area, was quickly cordoned off by investigators, as residents in the affluent neigbhourhood shuddered at the thought of their peaceful community shattered by violence.
“I’m a little shocked, okay? This is next door. It’s not a very pleasant thing to know about. So I can’t tell you any more than that. I don’t know anything more than that,” said Carolyn Milton.
“They’re very private people.”
Police haven’t revealed any word on suspects or arrests, but say they are treating the case as a homicide.
“We are not prepared at this time to release any details with respect to her identification because we are still in the process of notifying next of kin,” Cst. Nulle adds.
