Stabbing Near Toronto High School

A Toronto high school that has seen its share of violence had another glimpse on Wednesday when a former student was stabbed just blocks from the building.

The attack happened at a plaza near Bendale Business and Technical Collegiate around 11:30am.

A 21-year-old was knifed and witnesses report that the assault may have stemmed from a robbery.

Students at the school rushed to his aid and the victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

Last year, a 16-year-old student was shot during an alleged robbery.

But he wasn’t the intended victim – in fact, he may have been one of the perpetrators.

The target, who can’t be named, reported that four teens approached him. One of them lifted his shirt to reveal a weapon. The would-be victim charged his attacker and the gun went off, hitting an alleged accomplice.

The teen was rushed to hospital and later charged with robbery.
