Two Officers Hurt Following Downtown Crash With Minivan

Two Toronto police officers were rushed to hospital after being hurt in a downtown crash Wednesday afternoon.

A male officer and his female partner were reportedly heading to a call about a bank hold up on Spadina. They were racing to the scene southbound on Fort York when they collided with a minivan near Lakeshore.

The driver’s side of the cruiser took the brunt of the impact and the minivan’s front end was damaged.

Police blocked off the area to traffic while emergency crews tended to the injured.  Luckily, no one was seriously hurt.

An investigation is ongoing.
