Drivers Facing Messy Roadways Thanks To Old Man Winter

After a winter wallop made for a messy commute Friday, and it looks like scattered flurries will continue to fly through Saturday.

Environment Canada is predicting between one and three centimeters of snow to fall Saturday morning, with wet flurries in the evening. This will add to the around 15cm that’s already accumulated.

Collisions have been reported across the GTA, including a tractor-trailer accident on the westbound 401 near Courtice around 5:30am, which blocked two lanes.

The driver wasn’t injured in the crash and the lanes have since reopened.

A number of regions, including Durham, Peterborough, Collingwood and Niagara, cancelled school bus service.
