What is the most important issue in the upcoming mayoral election? CityNews went to ten different wards across Toronto to find out what voters are talking about and what they want to see on October 25. In the fifth of the 10-part series, we went to Kipling and Rexdale (Ward 2). Etobicoke North is currently represented by Rob Ford who has given up his councillor’s seat for a chance at becoming mayor.
Here’s what voters outside Shoppers Drug Mart had to say.
What is the most important issue in the upcoming mayoral election?
Taxes. Dean Nurhusain, sales.
I’m lost. All they talk about is transportation, but they haven’t solved it. June.

The guys that are running right now, they don’t do anything for me. Ashley Millen, maintenance.
I haven’t much about their plans. To be honest, I’ll probably decide who I’m going to vote for on the last day. John Paul Micelli.

I’m a union member, and Ford wants to gut the system, which will hurt working people. Rolf Langenfeld.
