Dog eats diabetic man’s toes

PORTLAND, Or. – A diabetic Oregon man with no feeling in his feet woke up to find that his dog had eaten part of his right foot, including three toes.
The 61-year-old-man called the police early Tuesday morning and is in serious condition, reports the Roseburg-News Review.
The man told first responders that he fell asleep on his couch, and found pieces of his foot missing.
Alan Ross, a veterinarian in Roseburg, says the dog may have been trying to help his owner by trying to get rid of dead tissue.
