Teen faces 11 charges following shooting at school

SCARBOROUGH, On – A 16-year-old boy is facing 11 charges following a shooting at Winston Churchill Collegiate on Lawrence Avenue East, March 24.

An altercation between a boy and a group of young men sitting in a vehicle broke out on the west side of the school, police said.

Shots were fired and one person inside the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The high school was locked down for nearly three hours while police investigated.

The teen is facing serious charges, including attempted murder.
