Parenting company Phil & Teds has placed a recall on both their Explorer and Hammerhead model of strollers.
Health Canada blamed the recall on faulty brakes on some of the strollers. Officials said the brakes can become damaged and even fail entirely.
The affected strollers have metal frames and were sold as single-person strollers along with a kit to make them double.
The Explorer model is a three-wheeled stroller with a black steel frame and a fabric seat. The basket and canopy are sold in a variety of colours.
The Hammerhead model is similar to the Explorer, but it is four-wheeled and only available in black.
The models in question were manufactures between June 2010 and January 2011, and sold in both Canada and the U.S. until March of this year.
