Teenager in trouble after driving through RIDE checkpoint

TORONTO, Ont. – A teenaged girl has had her licence suspended after blowing through a ride checkpoint at Black Creek and Trethewey Drives early Sunday morning.

Police told 680News the incident happened around 1 a.m. Sunday.

The girl did have alcohol in her system, but she was under the legal limit. However, she did only have her G2 class licence, which allows zero-tolerance for alcohol in the bloodstream.

Her car was impounded as a result, and police say the car suffered minor damage.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
