A man is facing murder charges after a body was found in a car in North York on Friday.
The homicide unit was dispatched after a neighbour discovered the body in the vehicle on Willowdale Avenue at 1:15 p.m. Friday.
“My husband and I discovered a vehicle that we didn’t recognize in the second driveway. When I peered into the vehicle, I saw some suspicious materials, what appeared to be blood so we thought we should probably call the police because it looked very suspicious,” said area resident Darlene in an exclusive interview with CityNews.
The victim has been identified as Victor Seung, 33, of Toronto.
Police say an autopsy concluded Seung died of sharp force injuries to the body, or stab wounds.
Joon Sung Kim, 38, of Toronto has been charged with second degree murder. He’s also known as Kevin Kim.
At this point, there’s no word on how the two men many have known each other, but the incident has left residents shaken.
“It was a little unnerving to have that on your driveway,” said Darlene.
