1. What’s the most memorable news story you’ve covered?
Nortel, Bre-X, Financial Market collapse 2008/09, G-8/G-20 Summit. Rise of Apple.
2. What are your hobbies?
I enjoy golfing, playing hockey, camping, and watching the markets.
3. What’s your favourite place (country, city) visited and why?
Hungary. I went there on a family pilgrimage with my father and brothers in 2002. I also love the Gulf Coast in Florida.
4. Favourite book you’ve read in last 12 months?
Moneyball by Michael Lewis. Also read Lewis’ The Big Short.
5. If you’d have another career, what would it be?
Airline pilot. I’ve always been fascinated by flight.
6. Do you like/drink coffee or tea?
I’m a coffee drinker. Can’t stand tea. Also don’t like U.S. iced tea because it tastes like tea!
7. What else do you want to accomplish at 680News?
I love the immediacy of 680News — how we can always get the information out first.
8. Are you married?
I am married with two lovely young daughters.
9. How long have you been with 680News/Rogers?
I’ve been with 680News for a combined 12 years. I started with the station on the second day of the format 1993. I left for another media company in 1998. Returned to 680News as senior business editor in 2004.
10. What city were you born in?
Tillsonburg, Ont.
