TORONTO, Ont. – Designed by British special forces soldiers, the Tough Mudder obstacle course is a challenging 20 km (plus) course designed to test a person’s strength, endurance and willpower.
The course challenges participants to overcome such obstacles as running through metre-tall flames, diving through icy water, climbing slippery rope walls and running through a field of electrified ropes.
More than half-a-million participants have done the Tough Mudder since its inception, raising more than $3 million for the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides money for injured soldiers.
Now, the Tough Mudder is being held near Toronto at Mount St. Louis Moonstone. Thousands of participants from the Toronto area will take place over the weekend, pushing themselves to the limit physically and mentally.
Participants sign up as an individual or as a team and registrants will have specific start times provided to them.
