A man was airlifted to a Hamilton hospital following a two-vehicle collision on Appleby Line south of Derry Road West in north Burlington.
The crash between a BMW and a cement truck happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police say the southbound BMW was travelling in the northbound lane when it hit the truck.
The 21-year-old driver of the BMW had to be extricated and taken to Hamilton General Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the cement truck, from Cambridge, suffered a minor arm injury and was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
Investigators remain at the scene.
Appleby Line between Derry and Britannia roads is expected to remain closed through the afternoon rush.
