Solid waste operations to be reviewed, Toronto city council votes

Toronto city council has voted unanimously in favour of a review of all solid waste operations in the city.
The move comes in response to the death last month of a five-year-old girl who was run over by a garbage truck.
The review will examine all policies, equipment, training requirements and routing to reduce the risk to pedestrians in the future.
Police are still investigating the accident, the driver hasn’t been charged.
