EXCLUSIVE: School vice principal throws shoe at sleeping student

Ian Goulbourne, 14, had to go to hospital after he was struck by a shoe while he slept during a graduation trip to Montreal. His vice principal at Holy Spirit Catholic School in Scarborough, Stephen Patel, threw the shoe in a moment of frustration.

He’s been placed on paid leave while the school board investigates. In the meantime, Toronto police say they are looking into the incident and charges could be pending.
