Doug Ford slams Kevin Spacey in latest ‘Ford Nation’ videos

A day after Olivia Chow launched her Toronto mayoral campaign, the Ford brothers have released three videos to their Ford Nation YouTube show.

The recent videos by Mayor Rob Ford and his brother, Coun. Doug Ford, focus mainly on the mayor’s recent trip to Los Angeles, but don’t refer to the election.

In the introduction, Mayor Ford seems pretty upbeat about the Hollywood trip.

“Back from L.A., the Oscars and Jimmy Kimmel. Let me tell you what we did in L.A., folks,” Ford says.

Mayor Ford says they met a lot of people in the film industry and that they talked up Toronto as a possible location for shoots.

“It was exciting. We’re gonna bring movies in here like you’ve never seen. You wanna see what happens, stay tuned. Here we go.”

However, there was one blight on their trip — apparently Kevin Spacey wouldn’t take a picture with the brothers.

“He’s an arrogant S.O.B. … any actor that makes a living off the people that watch his shows, he wouldn’t take a picture with anyone?” Coun. Doug Ford says in the video.

“We were told you can’t take a picture and you can’t speak to him. Who does this character think he is? He thinks he’s God, that he’s up there, that no common folk can take a picture.”

Mayor Ford chimes in to say “I don’t even know him.”

He added he doesn’t watch movies and wouldn’t know Spacey if he ran over him.

Spacey, who appeared on Kimmel’s show ahead of the mayor’s main appearance, was asked about sharing a dressing room with the controversial politician to which he responded: “Well, he threw up all over it, but those are the chances you take.”

Mayor Ford made a brief appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! after the Oscars on March 3 and was followed by Spacey. Mayor Ford returned for a full interview the night after, on March 4.

Meantime, the brothers praise late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, calling him a “down to earth guy.”‘

In the video, the Ford brothers confirmed Kimmel will be making an appearance on their YouTube show, but have not released the date.
