A busy intersection on the border of Little Italy will be shut down for three weeks for TTC track work, as well as road and sidewalk repairs.
Starting Monday, until July 12, the College and Bathurst intersection will be fully closed in all directions.
Eastbound traffic on College will detour to Dufferin Street, while westbound traffic will detour to University or Spadina avenues.
On Bathurst, southbound traffic will detour to Bloor Street, and northbound traffic will detour to Dundas Street.
Signs and barrels will be in place to guide cyclists around the area. Pedestrians, meanwhile, will still be able to access businesses and walkways.
The city said crews will be working around the clock to get the job done faster, and traffic lights will be timed to keep traffic moving on alternate routes.
The work is part of a larger strategy to upgrade the city’s roads, transit and underground infrastructure.
