Investigation continues after bomb hoax at Credit Valley Hospital

By News Staff

Peel police continue to investigate a bomb threat that was made against Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga on Tuesday.

Police say the hospital switchboard received a call from an unknown male just after 6 p.m. threatening there was a bomb somewhere at the hospital.

Officers searched the hospital but did not find anything suspicious.

While police conducted the search, there was no impact on operations within the hospital but vehicle and bus traffic in the area was restricted temporarily.

It was determined there was no threat to public safety and the hospital will be operating as normal on Wednesday.

Police have not released any details on a possible suspect responsible for the threat.
